We make a lot of traditional shaker kitchens, but we absolutely love it when clients go for sleek contemporary designs, which this impressive kitchen extension delivers on all counts.
Simplistic sleek lines was the key to this modern handleless kitchen. We went with a classic 2-tone colour scheme (the well acquainted combination of dark graphite and light grey - both in a smooth lacquered luxurious soft matte finish), the main sink run and island feature wrap-around brass handleless rails, then the tall cabinetry run we went with stylish matt black bar handles (not only for the asethetic but also ease of use and everyday functionality)
We designed the tall cabinerts to be recessed into a newly built alcove box section we built on-site but with a unique illuminated 35mm square profile framing the whole run, and sitting 35mm from the wall to really make this a special feature.
We specified the window heights to be flush with our cabinetry so the quartz worktops can run seamlessly into each window, and the star of the show being the half-height quartz splashback with recessed uplit LED channel.
Integrated LED strip lighting continues around the island handleless channels.
