A stunning vaulted ceiling extension, to create this enviable open-plan kitchen living space, with some clever hidden storage solutions.
The original kitchen and adjoining rooms are completely unrecognisable in relation to this beautiful new open plan kitchen and living area space.
The design features stunning aesthetics and highly functional storage in equal measures.
The main cabinetry run is based on a huge apron-fronted Shaws double bowl ceramic butler sink, integrated bin and dishwasher, tall larder cabinet, eye-level ovens, with eye-level built-in wine fridge (it was essential to keep the top of the wine fridge level with the top of the ovens), then huge freestanding fridge freezer.
The impressively sized island, cladded with double waterfall mitred end panels, features a selection of bespoke oak drawers (including hidden internal drawers), an intregrated additional fridge, and vented induction hob, plus comfortable seating for 5.
The star of the show is the cleverly designed bar and pantry areas - both of which are independently designed and hidden behind 2x sets of larder doors. The bespoke bar sits in a purpose built alcove and is equipped with engraved solid oak drawers, wraparound oak statement shelving, and 2x door mounted oak racks.
The walk-in pantry, again situated behind a set of double larder doors, is a whole room in itself and features a combination of drawers, cupboards (with corner pull-out) and further statement oak wall shelving.
The oak bar drawers feature customised engraving, which we have discreetly hidden for privacy purposes.
For the cabinetry, we made this one using our exclusive Newbridge door range, with the solid ash woodgrain heavily highlighted for depth and texture - the kitchen painted in Farrow & Ball Railings, and the pantry painted in Farrow & Ball De Nimes, both with beautiful aged brass Armac Martin hardware (with other black appliance accents throughout), and striking quartz worktops.
